Rich & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the white sugar, brown sugar, and shortening until smooth.

3. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat until light and fluffy.

4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until well combined.

6. Stir in the chocolate chips.

7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

8. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.

9. Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
