Hot Peppered Pecans are a simple Southern snack with serious flavor. Toasted in butter and seasoned with soy sauce, Tabasco, and a dash of seasoned salt, these pecans are spicy, savory, and irresistibly crunchy. They’re ideal for party trays, holiday gifts, or a flavorful twist on everyday snacking.
Ingredients
-
1 cup pecan halves
-
2 tsp soy sauce
-
2–3 dashes Tabasco sauce (to taste)
-
2 Tbsp melted butter
-
½ tsp seasoned salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 300°F.
In a bowl, combine the melted butter, soy sauce, Tabasco, and seasoned salt.
Pour the mixture over the pecans and stir well to coat evenly.
Spread the pecans on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to ensure even browning.
Remove from oven and spread on paper towels to cool and crisp.
Recipe Note
- Adjust the amount of Tabasco depending on your spice preference.
- These pecans store well in an airtight container and make a great savory gift.
