These Decadent Chocolate Chunk Brownies are a chocolate lover’s dream—dense, decadent, and packed with flavor. Made with unsweetened chocolate, semi-sweet morsels, and a touch of vanilla, they strike the perfect balance between fudgy and cakey. 2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate

½ cup butter

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup all-purpose flour

⅛ tsp salt

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9-inch square baking pan and set aside.
In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsweetened chocolate and butter together. Stir until smooth and set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, beat eggs until thick. Gradually add sugar, beating until the mixture is thick and fluffy.
Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla.
Blend in flour and salt until just combined.
Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate morsels.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30 minutes. Do not overbake—center should be slightly soft.
Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Recipe Note
- Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking for a gourmet touch.
